Are you looking for a brand new home that is close to shopping, dining, and major highways? Then, look no further than Union Station housing development in Lower Paxton Township, Dauphin County, PA. In this video, I’m meeting up with Real Estate agent, Nicole Scholl, of Keller Williams to get a tour of the brand new development.

About Union Station

Union Station is a traditional community with single family homes, duplexes, and townhouses. All construction is done by Yingst Homes Inc. and the real estate agent for each home listing is Nicole Scholl. Yingst Homes are in their fourth and final phase of construction, with just ten lots available. The remaining lots will be one of three models of ranch style homes ranging from 1,576 square feet to 1,874 square feet and will all include full basements. These homes range in price from $330,000 to $360,000 at base price.

Construction and Customization

All of the homes in this community are fully customizable. Yingst provides the structural layout and allows the homebuyer to design the rest. They provide an in house designer who assists the homebuyer with everything from windows and floors, to cabinets and appliances. You can even choose to fence in your yard, an option that is great for pet owners. It’s like getting a custom home that fits exactly what you and your family need.

Yingst provides a standard model for each room including floors, lighting, paint color, doors, and window styles. There are many options for your kitchen, which include choosing your own colors and styles of cabinets, appliances, sinks, and countertops; you can also choose to provide your own appliances as well. The bathrooms can also be completely customized, as there are many options for bathtubs, showers, sinks, cabinets, toilets, and flooring. Yingst works with you personally to build and style your future home to whatever your vision may be.

Union Station Community and Amenities

Union Station is a diverse community with demographics ranging from young professionals to retired adults who are downsizing. The community environment is very friendly, and while visiting the area you are likely to see members out and about taking advantage of the amenities. There are walking paths throughout the community and you will always find members walking with friends, walking their pets, or exercising. There is a beautiful pond that sits right next to Newfangled Brew Works, which is situated right in the middle of the community.

Yingst is continuing to build another commercial building across from the brewery that will soon be filled with shops and restaurants on the street level, and feature rental apartments above them. These apartments will be great if you are looking to rent but still want to live within a community.

Union Station does have a Homeowners Association (HOA) that is $60 per month for common area maintenance and snow removal over three inches. There is another option for homeowners to opt into a grass and landscape package for $140 per month. This package is great for homeowners who no longer want to deal with mowing their grass or shoveling snow.
